Job Title: Site Leader for Community Service Programs

SUMMARY: Responsible for site management of community service's programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the overall site management of Preschool/Kindercottage/Before and After School Care and other district sponsored programs.
Direct the supervision of children and the implementation of activities.
Review the weekly or monthly activity schedules.
Develop and distribute a site newsletter for families.
Maintain accountability of children checking in and out of program facilities.
Create and maintain a tracking system for children going to and from extracurricular activities.
Develop a rotation schedule for Activity Leaders and provide on-site training of new staff.
Make recommendations for hiring new staff.
Supervise and evaluate staff, including development of staff improvement plans.
Attend a minimum of 24 hours of job-related training each year.
Attend and lead site staff and training meetings.
Attend Site Leader meetings.
Schedule staff, including holiday and half-day staff, with approval from the Coordinator.
Distribute billing statements, permission slips, newsletters, etc. and ensure all are received by parents.
Submit checks, grocery lists, sign-in and time sheets to the Director by established due date.
Maintain on-going communication with staff, parents, school staff and the Director.
Maintain emergency information for each child.
Monitor supply budget and maintenance needs of the facility.
Maintain neat and orderly classrooms.
Responsible for documenting communications, phone messages, written correspondence, parental request and concerns.
Responsible for providing a Site Notebook to relay pertinent information to staff.
Assume duties of absent staff members.
Adhere to all DHS Licensure requirements and maintain (pursue) accreditation from NAEYC or NSACCA.
Maintain a work atmosphere that generates trust, collaboration and caring.
This position supervises any or all community service personnel assigned to this location. This includes (but not limited to) Group Leaders, other staff, and students.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree and/or CDA certificate.
Two years experience in child care, education or other closely related field.
DESIRED: Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to students, parents, and employees of the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with students who have speech and language disabilities.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
